Applied DB Public Company Limited (ADB) expects its business performance to continue growing in the final quarter of 2026. The outlook is supported by sustained sales growth in line with government construction projects and by recovering profit from stronger demand in both domestic and international markets. In the fourth quarter, the Company expects to commission a new high-efficiency production line, which will improve productivity and reduce production costs over the long term. ADB also plans to focus on developing new products to support the expansion of data-center construction, smart-grid infrastructure and electric-vehicle charging-station projects.
Mr. Wei Kai Wang, Managing Director of Applied DB Public Company Limited (ADB), a manufacturer and distributor of plastic compound products, said that raw-material prices were volatile early in 2026 because of the war and conflicts in the Middle East, which directly affected petroleum and petrochemical markets. However, the Company has strong, long-term relationships with its suppliers, enabling it to source raw materials continuously and reliably. Together with close coordination with customers, ADB was able to produce and deliver plastic compounds consistently even during periods of raw-material shortages. Strict cost control, higher production efficiency, effective inventory management and organizational restructuring have also enabled the Company to respond to market changes quickly and efficiently. As a result, the Company’s overall gross-profit margin improved significantly from the previous year.
Electrical wire and cable insulation compounds are one of the Company’s flagship product groups and are expected to perform well this year. Demand is being supported by government infrastructure development, public-utility projects, underground power-cable work and double-track railway development, as well as private-sector construction in industrial projects, factory buildings and homes. Growing demand in overseas markets has also led to a continued increase in the use of compounds for the production of electrical wires and cables of various grades throughout the year.
ADB’s second product group is medical-grade plastic compounds. The Company collaborates with Showa Global (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to manufacture and distribute products to Japanese manufacturers and customers in Thailand. Its production line is certified to ISO 13485, the international quality-management standard specifically for the medical-device industry.
The third product group consists of general-purpose plastic compounds, including rigid PVC for molding PVC pipe fittings, furniture edging and specialized industrial components. The products can be tailored to customers’ required properties and colors. ADB also plans to strengthen this product group through its business-expansion strategy.
Mr. Wang added that the Company plans to introduce high-potential new products to the market and, together with its partners, develop specialized wire-and-cable grades for the AI market. These products will address the continued expansion of data-center construction, smart-grid development and electric-vehicle charging-station projects. ADB expects to complete trials of its new automated production line in the fourth quarter of 2026, which will improve production efficiency and lower manufacturing costs in the long run.
ADB Sealant Co., Ltd. (ADBS), the Company’s joint venture with Japan’s AICA Group, has delivered outstanding sales and profit-margin growth through marketing and product-group synergies. Its sealant products, in particular, have been well accepted in the electronics market, while capacity utilization has increased. ADB will recognize its share of profit from ADBS, further strengthening its financial structure.
